Welcome to FASHUB Docs

v1.0

FASHUB is a fashion marketplace that connects individuals with skilled designers and tailors. This documentation will guide you through every feature — from creating your account to managing projects and payments.

Quick Start

Go from zero to using FASHUB in under 5 minutes.

Create your account
Sign up at /auth/signup. Choose your account type: Individual, Designer, or Tailor.

Complete your profile
Add a photo, bio, location, and any relevant expertise or preferences.

Explore the platform
Browse the Social Feed, search for professionals, or post your first design.

Start a conversation
Message a professional directly from their profile to discuss your project.

Place or receive your first order
Individuals submit order requests; professionals accept and track them through to completion.

Account Types

Choose the account type that best describes you. You can only have one account type at a time.

Create an Account

1. Navigate to Sign Up

Go to /auth/signup or click Get Started in the top navigation.

2. Fill in your details

Form fields
Display Name   — Your public name (visible to others)
Email          — Used for login and notifications
Password       — Minimum 8 characters
Role           — Individual | Designer | Tailor

3. Complete your profile

After sign-up you will be taken to your profile settings. Adding a photo and bio increases visibility in search results by 3×.

Choose your account type carefully — changing it later requires contacting support.

Your Dashboard (Individual)

The Individual dashboard is your control centre for managing orders, your wardrobe, and connections.

Track every active and past order from placement to completion.
Wardrobe
Catalogue your clothing items and create saved outfit combinations.
Reviews
View and manage all reviews you have given to professionals.
Messages
All your conversations with designers and tailors in one place.
Notifications
Order updates, new messages, and community activity.
Favourites
Save professionals you love for quick access later.

Find Professionals

Use the Search page to discover designers and tailors near you.

Filter Options

  • LocationSearch by city or use your current GPS location.
  • SpecialtyFilter by Bridal, Formal, Streetwear, Alterations, etc.
  • Price RangeSet a budget range to see professionals that match.
  • RatingFilter by minimum star rating (e.g. 4 stars and above).
  • AvailabilityToggle to only show professionals currently taking orders.
Click a professional's avatar to view their full profile, portfolio, and reviews before reaching out.

Place an Order

Find a professional
Use search filters to shortlist professionals that match your needs.

Send a message
Discuss your requirements, timeline, and budget before committing.

Submit order request
Click 'Request Service' on the professional's profile and fill in the order form.

Wait for confirmation
The professional reviews and accepts your request (usually within 24 hours).

Track progress
Receive updates at each milestone — measuring, cutting, fitting, and delivery.

Confirm completion
Mark the order complete and leave a review to help the community.
You can attach reference images and detailed notes when placing an order to ensure the professional fully understands your vision.

Digital Wardrobe

Catalogue everything you own and build outfit combinations for planning ahead.

Adding Items

Go to Dashboard → Wardrobe → Add Item. Upload a photo, add a category (Top, Bottom, Shoes, Accessories), colour, and optional notes.

Creating Outfits

Select individual wardrobe items and group them into a named outfit. Outfits can be saved, duplicated, and shared to your social feed as a post.

Leave a Review

Reviews help other users choose the best professionals and incentivise quality work.

Navigate to Orders
Go to Individual Dashboard → Orders → Completed.

Click 'Leave Review'
Choose a star rating (1–5) for Quality, Communication, and Timeliness.

Write a comment
Describe what went well (or not). Be honest and constructive.
Reviews are permanent once submitted. Take your time and be accurate.

Designer Profile Setup

A complete profile gets 5× more enquiries. Fill in every field.

Professional bio
Describe your design philosophy and background (100–300 words).
Specialties
Tag the styles you work in: Formal, Bridal, Streetwear, Couture, etc.
Profile photo
A clear headshot or brand logo builds trust instantly.
Cover image
Showcase your best work as the hero banner on your profile.
Location
City and country let clients find you in local searches.
Availability
Toggle on/off so clients know when you are taking new work.
Link your social media profiles (Instagram, Pinterest) so clients can see even more of your work.

Portfolio Management

Your portfolio is your storefront. Upload work samples in Designer Dashboard → Portfolio → Upload.

Image Guidelines

  • Minimum resolution: 1200 × 800 px
  • Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP
  • Maximum file size: 10 MB per image
  • Up to 30 portfolio items per account

Organising Your Portfolio

Tag each piece with a category (e.g. Bridal, Formal) and a collection name. Clients can filter by these tags when browsing your work.

Client Projects

Manage every client project from a single dashboard.

Earnings & Payouts

Track your revenue and request payouts from Designer Dashboard → Earnings.

Payments are held in escrow and released once the client marks the order complete. Payouts are processed within 2–5 business days.

Tailor Profile Setup

Clients search for tailors by service type and location. Make sure these are filled in accurately.

List all service types with pricing.

e.g. Hemming: 24 hrs, Custom suit: 2 weeks
Work samples
Photos of completed jobs.

Any trade qualifications or guild memberships.

Walk-in, appointment only, or online only.

Service Listings

Go to Tailor Dashboard → Services → Add Service to create a listing.

Service listing fields
Service Name     — e.g. "Trouser Hemming"
Category         — Alteration | Custom | Repair | Specialty
Starting Price   — Base price shown on your profile
Turnaround       — Standard delivery time
Description      — What is included, fabric restrictions, etc.
Active           — Toggle to show/hide the service

Job Queue

The job queue shows all incoming and active jobs sorted by due date. Drag to reorder priority.

Use the Urgent flag on a job to surface it at the top of your queue. Clients can also pay a rush fee to automatically flag their job urgent.

Fabric Inventory

Track fabric stock so you always know what you have available when quoting clients.

Low-Stock Alerts

Set a minimum threshold for each fabric. When stock drops below the threshold you will receive a notification and the fabric is flagged on your dashboard.

Social Feed & Posts

The feed is a living showcase of fashion work from across the platform — like an Instagram for professionals.

Create a post
Share up to 4 images with a caption. Posts appear in followers' feeds immediately.
Like & comment
Engage with posts — likes and comments notify the creator.
Repost
Share a post to your own followers with a single click.
Photo gallery
Click any image to open a full-screen gallery with keyboard navigation.

Messaging & Chat

All communication between users happens through FASHUB's built-in messaging system — no external contact required.

Starting a Conversation

Click the Message button on any user's profile or post. A chat popup opens immediately — no page navigation needed.

  • →Online indicator: Green dot shows when the other person is active.
  • →Post sharing: Share a post directly into a conversation as a reference.

Conversations are private and isolated. Neither party can see messages unless they are a participant in that conversation.

Location Search

Find professionals near you using the map-based search on the Search page.

Allow browser location access for the most accurate “near me” results. You can also type a postcode or city name manually.

Click any image in the Social Feed or on a profile to open the full-screen gallery viewer.

Profile Settings

Update your information at any time in Settings → Profile.

Avatar & Cover Photo

Accepted: JPG, PNG, WEBP. Maximum size: 5 MB for avatars, 10 MB for cover photos. Images are automatically cropped and compressed to WebP format on upload.

Privacy Controls

FASHUB gives you granular control over what others can see.

Security & Password

Password Requirements

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character (!@#$%…)
Never share your password. FASHUB staff will never ask for your password.

Forgot Password

Go to Reset Password, enter your email, and check your inbox for a reset link. The link expires in 1 hour.

Notification Preferences

Customise which events trigger in-app and email alerts in Settings → Notifications.

We recommend keeping Order Updates and Messages enabled so you never miss a critical update.

Frequently Asked Questions

Troubleshooting

Can't log in

  1. Check your email and password are typed correctly (watch for Caps Lock).
  2. Use Reset Password to set a new one.
  3. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.
  4. Try an incognito/private window to rule out extension conflicts.
  5. Contact support if the problem persists.

Images won't upload

  • Ensure the file is JPG, PNG, or WEBP and under 10 MB.
  • Check you have a stable internet connection.
  • Try a different browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended).

Not receiving email notifications

  • Check your spam or junk folder — add [email protected] to your safe senders.
  • Verify your email address in Settings → Account.
  • Confirm the notification type is enabled in .

Messages taking too long to appear

Messages are polled from the server approximately every 500 ms. If you experience delays greater than 2 seconds, try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R / Cmd+Shift+R) or check your internet connection.
